Elios 2 – Confined Space Inspection Drone

Specifically designed for confined spaces, the Elios 2 and W2e offer you amazing access to hard-to-reach areas of your waste-to-energy plant. The Elios 2 allows for unparalleled remote inspection capabilities and removes the need for dangerous and highly regulated activities such as working at heights or in confined spaces.

Equipped with a 4K video and FLIR thermal imaging camera and protected by a carbon fibre shell, the Elios Drone can be safely operated beyond visual line of sight via live feed at a range of up to 500m and can be navigated through passages as small as 400mm in diameter.

The Elios 2 has an intelligent lighting array that can cope with high dust environments, 10k lumens of power that is controllable by the operator, and customisable to the situation to enhance any possible cracks, pit marks, or defects.

In addition to ultra-HD video and thermal imaging recordings, 12 Megapixel stills can be taken to allow for more detailed inspections and measurements to be taken.

Due to the high-definition video and stable flight controls, the use of photogrammetry to develop fully dimensioned 3D models is also possible and is an area we’re excited to be developing. These models are perfect for visualising defect locations and planning further works.
